Technical Information
The information below is for reference. Final order data is subject to the technical agreement and product nameplate.
I. Product Overview
The ZS horizontal FRP self-priming pump is a corrosion-resistant self-priming pump with FRP wetted parts. It is suitable for acids, alkalis, and mildly corrosive chemical liquids that do not contain hard particles and are not prone to crystallization. FRP offers light weight, corrosion resistance, and stable forming, and can replace stainless steel or titanium materials in some corrosion-resistant services.
The pump has self-priming capability. After retaining priming liquid in the pump casing before startup, the suction line usually does not require a foot valve, simplifying the piping system. It is suitable for tank transfer, underground pit lifting, chemical liquid transfer, and waste liquid handling.
II. Product Features
FRP wetted parts provide corrosion resistance for many acid, alkali, and chemical liquids.
Horizontal self-priming structure is convenient for tank and pit applications.
Relatively light pump body helps installation and maintenance.
No need to fill the whole suction line before each startup when conditions are suitable.
Seal material and motor configuration can be selected according to the medium.
III. Main Applications
Used in petrochemical, smelting, dyeing, pesticide, pharmaceutical, rare earth, fertilizer, and environmental water treatment industries. It can handle hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, butyric acid, and similar non-oxidizing acids, as well as some chemical wastewater and pickling liquids.
IV. Selection and Operation Notes
Confirm medium name, concentration, temperature, density, particle content, and crystallization tendency.
FRP is not suitable for all corrosive media; compatibility should be confirmed for strong oxidizers or special solvents.
Ensure enough priming liquid in the pump chamber before startup to avoid seal dry running.
Keep the suction line short and airtight to maintain self-priming performance.
For volatile, toxic, or irritating media, pay attention to sealing, safety protection, and ventilation.
V. Maintenance Recommendations
Regularly inspect mechanical seal, pump casing connections, suction line tightness, and bearing temperature. Before shutdown or medium change, flush the pump chamber and pipeline according to the medium characteristics to reduce crystallization, deposits, and corrosion residue.
