RCB Jacketed Asphalt Pump

I. Main Purpose

The RCB series asphalt insulated pump is designed to transport media that are non-corrosive, free of solid particles, and prone to solidification at ambient temperatures. It is particularly suitable for outdoor installations in extremely cold regions and for process applications requiring thermal insulation of the medium. It handles media with temperatures up to 250°C and viscosities ranging from 5 to 1500 cSt.

II. Scope of Application

The RCB series asphalt insulated pump is used to transport heavy oil, asphalt, adhesives, resins, detergents, and similar substances.

III. Structural Features

The RCB series is a gear pump featuring hollow jackets on the pump body, front cover, and rear cover, as well as jacketed inlet and outlet flanges. Suitable for media that solidify at ambient temperatures, outdoor use in cold climates, and processes requiring thermal insulation, the pump allows for heating, insulation, or cooling of the pumped liquid and the pump itself using media such as thermal oil, steam, hot water, or cold water. A speed reducer should be used when the viscosity of the pumped medium exceeds 1500 cSt.

Drive Method: Typically, a direct drive connection between the pump and the motor is used.

Shaft Seal Design: Two types are available: (1) Mechanical seal; (2) Gland packing seal.

Users may select the appropriate type based on specific operating conditions.
